Job Description

Administrator of Equity Compliance

Central Office

12-month position

Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia seeks a dedicated and passionate professional committed to fostering equitable access opportunity and success for all students. Applications are now being accepted for the Administrator of Equity Compliance for the 2025-2026 school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrator of Equity Compliance is instrumental in ensuring adherence to district policies state guidelines and federal regulations while fostering an environment where all students have full access to programs and resources offered by the division.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors processes to ensure equitable access compliance and adherence to district procedures state guidelines and federal regulations
  • Review data to analyze the performance of all student groups and determine if inequities exist
  • Conducts investigations and assists in resolving issues affecting equal access to opportunity for staff students and parents
  • Serves as a support and resource for Division Equity Leads
  • Works with the Director of Equity and Diversity to develop and implement comprehensive professional learning and coaching plans that build the capacity of division staff to increase successful educational outcomes for all students
  • Works with the Director of Equity and Diversity to develop and monitor programs and/or strategies to address student opportunity gaps
  • Works under the direction of the Director of Equity and Diversity to provide guidance and support to the Equity Advisory Committee
  • Works with the Director of Human Resources to assist in meeting diversity objectives
  • Works with the curriculum department to ensure cross-cultural experiences and dialogue are provided within the classroom
  • Maintains cooperative working relationships with parents staff and other division personnel
  • Maintains effective and timely written and oral communication with parents staff and other division personnel

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License
  • Have a minimum of three years of teaching experience
  • Experience in providing professional development and coaching for staff
  • In-depth knowledge of educational equity and compliance as it pertains to School Board policies and state and federal laws
  • Familiarity with current educational trends particularly those focusing on access equity and student success
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with students parents staff and external organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold strict confidentiality
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks handle interruptions and perform effectively under pressure
  • Dependable punctual and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication
  • Utilize Google Drive for instructional and collaboration purposes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PreK-12
  • Have three years of administrative experience
  • Experience working with human resources

SALARY: $83487.52 - $143319.06 annually commensurate with experience
