Housekeeping Crew Leader | Full-Time | Greensboro Complex

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor the Housekeeper Crew Leader will be responsible for assisting in the preparation coordination execution of the cleaning and clean-up activities at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and all other of its venues and any assigned spaces. Along with other custodial full and part-time staff and contractors this person will work and oversee other housekeeping crew workers to complete assigned tasks.

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$25.00

The Greensboro Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events such as athletic competitions cultural arts showcases concerts theater performances educational activities fairs exhibits as well as public and private gatherings including conventions convocations trade shows and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The Complex is made up of nine venues the largest being the renowned 22000-seat First Horizon Coliseum which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney Garth Brooks and Elvis Presley as well as todays biggest artists like Drake Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift. As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country the Greensboro Complex annually hosts over 1100 events. Its extraordinary flexibility and reputation have earned it worldwide acclaim among promoters producers event planners and patrons alike.

• Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations. Coordinate the Housekeeping Team to assure tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions.
• Perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team.
• Assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department.
• Assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping task such as trash removal vacuuming sanitizing bathrooms sweeping polishing waxing mopping etc.
• Report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations which cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience over full-time and/or part-time staff.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must have leadership experience with a working knowledge of methods of cleaning materials supplies tools and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility.
• Working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor stripping procedure and working knowledge of cleaning timelines. The successful applicant must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours often including frequent nights holidays and weekends.
• This position involves walking standing climbing stooping bending and lifting up to 40lbs for the duration of the shift.
