Job Description

Permanent - Radiology/CT Technologist (Multimodality Imaging)

Location: Cedar Park TX 78613
Shift: 8-hr Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions of the Role:
  • Perform high-quality multimodality diagnostic imaging exams (e.g. CT X-ray) according to established protocols and promptly.
  • Maintain imaging quality by adhering to technical standards and radiation safety.
  • Monitor radiation dose levels and take corrective actions if dose thresholds are exceeded.
  • Use iSTAT point-of-care testing to assess creatinine levels when needed.
  • Apply AIDET communication techniques with patients to provide clear and empathetic explanations of procedures.
  • Confirm patient identity and exam requisition accuracy.
  • Evaluate patient tolerance and prepare the area and patient for the procedure.
  • Position patients appropriately using immobilization tools and correct equipment settings.
  • Uphold infection control radiation safety and sterile technique standards.
  • Clean and maintain imaging equipment and workspace.
  • Collaborate with clinical engineers/physicists to ensure optimal equipment function and report malfunctions.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and follow screening protocols for departmental entry.
  • Accurately document imaging procedures patient history and other necessary records in the imaging system.

  • Proficiency in performing timely high-quality multimodality procedures independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ease patient anxiety and ensure service satisfaction.
  • Ability to remain calm and resourceful during emergencies or high-stress situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and training including mentoring new team members.
  • Flexibility to take on-call shifts as needed.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Experience:

  • Less then 1 year of experience required.

Certifications/Licensure (Required or As Applicable by Role):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 30 days of hire.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Texas state license (unless MRI or Ultrasound role).
  • ARRT or Equivalent Certifications: Must be certified in two imaging modalities and work at least 50% in the second modality. Accepted certifications include:
    • ARRT-R (Radiography)
    • ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
    • ARRT-MR (MRI)
    • ARRT-M (Mammography)
    • ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine)
    • ARRT-S (Sonography)
    • ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiology)
    • ARRT-CV / CI (Cardiovascular/Interventional)
    • RDMS-OB AB BR FE PS
    • CNMT
    • ARMRIT
    • RVT
