Job Description
- The Fleet Tracking and Telematics team is looking for a software development engineer who can supplement our team.
- This role will be responsible for developing Kotlin/Java applications that will be deployed to the AWS cloud.
- Understanding of AWS cloud services is preferred but not required.
- You will be working alongside product managers software engineers and hardware engineers on the team.
- Primary responsibilities will be designing developing debugging reviewing and testing cloud services.
- They must be detail oriented have superior verbal and written communication skills strong organizational skills and are able to work independently.
- Preferred coding skills: Java/Kotlin or Typescript. Other desired technical skills include CDK MQTT and AWS cloud services.
- A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred qualifications
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
