JOB SUMMARY:
The Asset Performance Management (APM) Consultant has to develop and promote solutions in support of the Direct/Indirect Sales Teams in pre-sales activities. Consultant provides solutions industry guidance and application expertise to the sales teams proposals marketing and systems and product management. Consultant will be responsible for working with Sales Teams to craft solutions support demonstrations support benefit estimation studies scope projects with customers and support Proposal team for cost estimation. Consultant will work with the relevant Solution Portfolio DX and Systems Headquarters stakeholders to drive product plans and to communicate customer feedback.
This role will be a key contributor in developing and promoting Yokogawas APM solution portfolio including predictive maintenance reliability-centered maintenance field asset diagnostics and integration with enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from the field strong familiarity with industrial asset management practices and a passion for leveraging AI/ML technologies to transform asset data into actionable insights.
Once sold Consultant can also have the ultimate responsibility for Yokogawa business at the project level. This includes the responsibility for customer satisfaction improving margin and for overall management of projects from initial conception through project completion. Assures projects are completed in a timely efficient and profitable manner while maintaining customer satisfaction by scope definition planning monitoring and controlling all project resources and relationships utilizing Yokogawa ISO procedural requirements.
DUTIES/RESULTS:
- Develops and communicates Sales solutions strategy with Sales Teams
- Communicates key industry drivers in customer industries collaborating with sales and Product Management
- Plans coordinates and participates in team sales calls; customer presentations/ demonstrations; problem solving and project scoping
- Works with or acts as Proposal Manager on customer requirements; i.e. reviews RFP (Request for Proposal) and specification coordinates with sales and marketing to determine scope of work and is responsible for scope definition prepares and/or approves all cost estimates develops preliminary implementation plan may assist in the estimating proposal and sales process controls final negotiations on engineering/construction project.
- Analyzes and defines customer needs and requirements and provide customer consultation in the development of system specifications and solutions
- Hands on experience with maximum Yokogawa solution portfolio
- Maintains high level of market awareness of competitions strategy programs features and policies to develop responsive programs to counter competitive assertions and promote Yokogawa solutions
- Knowledge capture on Yokogawas Asset Performance Management documenting and sharing with execution team so that experts knowledge is not limited to a single person
- Provides project justification to customers through historical data review process studies and Return on Investment (ROI) calculations
- Develops and provides formal and informal application assistance and systems training to customer personnel
- Develops and delivers formal and informal training on systems industry issues and applications to internal and external audiences
- Applies systems knowledge to customers process to define design and develop system automation strategies
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to industry organizations and conferences
- Plans and coordinates presentations and demonstrations to customers and potential customers
- Manages all project planning; i.e. works with customer and project team to clearly define scope and ensure clarity of project technical schedule and budget requirements performs billing and cash flow planning manpower loading models; implementation plan with time lines ensures complete understanding of customer needs by key personnel shares information with team members; responsible for developing and maintaining required project records. Maintains consistent updates of project plan budget and schedule.
- Serves as YCAs primary contact and focal point to the customer during the project.
- Negotiates changes/Change Orders as required to meet YCA and customer goals with supervisor approval on all critical changes.
- Responsible for contract compliance including all terms/conditions scope financial insurance etc. Responsible for improving cash position of each contract within terms/cancellations of contract.
- Other duties as assigned.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Chemical) Computer Science or related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in industrial asset management maintenance engineering or reliability engineering; at least 3 years in APM consulting or solution development.
- Experience with working directly for an end user preferred.
Qualifications:
- Must have ability to work independently to promote plan and execute sales and execution strategies
- Must be able to set and hold priorities between multiple demands (sales and execution) and actions
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Has good organization and problem-solving skills.
- Must have ability to demonstrate Yokogawas solution to customers
- Ability to obtain TWIC Card
- Familiarity with relevant Yokogawa technologies is a plus: Plant Resource Manager (PRM) FieldMate Exaquantum Yokogawa APM and partner solutions.
- Familiarity with OT data sources (e.g. DCS/SCADA field instrumentation HART/FOUNDATION Fieldbus Condition Monitoring).
- Experience working in industries such as oil & gas petrochemical power water or pharmaceuticals.
- Requires 30-50% travel (short trips)
