Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
The Department
The Emergency Service within Alfred Health sees over 100000 patients per annum. The Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre (E&TC) manages approximately 75000 patients and the Sandringham Emergency Department manages approximately 45000. Sandringham Emergency Department is community focused and has an integrated Urgent Care Centre model of care whilst the E&TC provides emergency medical services to the local community whilst also providing Victorian state-wide services.
The Role
The Nurse Manager - Workforce & Operations supports excellence in clinical practice and promotes the development of nurses ensuring the philosophy of nursing and standards of practice are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care. Together with the Alfred E&TC Nurse Manager and Sandringham Emergency Nurse Manager the Nurse Manager for Workforce & Operations is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve patient outcomes.
