Job Description
Old Rochester Regional School District/ Massachusetts Superintendency Union #55 is seeking an innovative & collaborative Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor for Sippican Elementary School in Marion MA. School Social Worker/ School Adjustment license with DESE is :Provide direct service and consultation for studentsUse a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling planning or decision makingProvide classroom and small group instructionProvide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agenciesMediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process Provide consultation to staff regarding student difficulty in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plansServe as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral social emotional matters which may have significance for students programCollaborate with teachers administrators and parentsAll other duties assigned by the principalThe mission of our school system is to inspire all students to think to learn and to care.
