About The Role
Were on the lookout for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Head Office team in Arundel. Youll work closely with our Chief Financial Officer to lead financial reporting drive compliance and deliver insights that guide strategic business is a hands-on role overseeing the preparation of monthly management and board reports budgeting forecasting and the coordination of our national accounting team. You will also play a key role in risk management governance and ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and you love leading high-performing teams streamlining processes and bringing accuracy and commercial insight to a fast paced business this ones for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial and board reports
- Oversee budgeting forecasting and cashflow management
- Manage and mentor the national accounting team
- Provide KPI reporting and financial performance analysis
- Maintain financial compliance across tax audit and corporate obligations
- Support the CFO with group-wide reporting and strategic initiatives
- Drive system and process improvements across the finance function
- Provide payroll oversight and backup as needed
- Act as a key representative of Buildsafes values and culture
About You
Youre a commercially minded finance leader whos confident in managing people deadlines and detail. Youll bring strong technical accounting skills a problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities with ease. Most importantly youre someone who leads by example and wants to make a real impact.
Youll also have:
- CPA qualification (or currently completing) and relevant tertiary background
- Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial finance or accounting role
- Experience managing people and finance teams
- Strong Excel and ERP system skills (NetSuite experience highly regarded)
- Excellent understanding of Australian taxation laws (FBT Payroll Tax Company Tax)
- High attention to detail time management and communication skills
