The Operations & Fiscal Coordinator is a vital role within the Virginia Tech Institute for Policy and Governance - Richmond Applied Research Group. This position ensures that Group fiscal logistical and technical aspects of operations run smoothly. The Operations & Fiscal Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operations space management and asset tracking while also providing administrative support for various Group needs.
Required Qualifications
Experience in reconciliation encumbrance monitoring and a general understanding of accounting principles
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision and guidance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated initiative
Interest in public and non-profit sector organizational and workforce development
Ability to adapt to changing environments and contexts
Ability to exercise independent thinking emotional intelligence and persistence to facilitate the timely completion of projects

Previous experience in a university setting or with sponsored programs is a plus.
