Job Summary

This position will assist the Athletics/Sports Marketing Department for all ticketed athletic events. 95% of all tasks and duties will be performed on campus at the Athletic venues* (Chiles Center Merlo Field and Joe Etzel Field). Transportation will be provided for all off-campus events. Student employees will report to the Director of Marketing. Position will work about 4-12 hours a week with some weeks having no hours at all due to away games. Duties performed in this position will serve to provide information to fans about the venue opponent team schedules student fan group and Kids Club. Student employees will assist with all in-game promotions in-game atmosphere components and set-up/break-down of this role the student employee will assist the Director of Marketing in all marketing and promotions around athletics events.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a full-time UP student in good academic standing and not subject to University discipline per the Student Handbook Willingness to represent the University of Portland and our mission and core values in a positive manner on and off campus Must be well organized and flexible to meet time priority and workload demand Must be available to work flexible hours including Pilot home games nights and weeken Must have excellent customer service and be enthusiastic fan friendly and outgoing Must be punctual and reliable
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in Adobe Suite Products Graphic Designer Camera or Video Green Dot full training certified or willing to go through the Green Dot training.
