The Deputy Director will oversee a service-oriented department designed to assist the OSU/A&M System constituents in achieving their goals and objectives through the effective use of technology. This position oversees the operations of the System Administration group for the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses as well as services extended to seven other campuses within the OSU/A&M System. The Deputy Director collaborates with the Departments Director ITs Leadership team the A&M CIO managers and technical staff in the operational and academic areas on joint projects and shared services. Drives operational effectiveness and efficiency. Focuses on growing and transforming the business. Collaboration efforts include but are not limited to project planning service delivery product evaluation defining expense cost shares security reviews and policy.
Requires interaction with supervisors colleagues students using clear communication tact discretion and independent judgement.
This is an onsite position.
Position requires the incumbent to own a computer and have internet access with the ability to work remotely should a departmental need arise.
Due to communication expectations of the position the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbents salary includes additional compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Five years of Information Technology or related experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility including direct personnel management.
IT or related field
Preference for Higher Education experience and knowledge of current OSU information technology systems.
Certification in Project Management and ITIL Foundations.
