Job Description

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Partner Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy recruiting development and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

As a WW Partner Modernization Specialist you will support customers building innovative modern applications on AWS. You will develop and execute go-to-market strategies for AWS Modernization services such as Containers Serverless AWS Transform Services and third party tooling to drive modern services adoption through partners. You will help AWSs Consulting and System Integrator Partners build a GTM for modernizing applications on AWS. You will work directly with the AWS service teams to bring the voice of the partner to the service roadmap. You will build go-to-market plans that scale through the AWS sales field AWS Partners and AWS programs.

Key job responsibilities
1. Contribute or own the Go-To-Market plan for key areas of Application Modernization. This includes driving the overall sales and technical strategy. Help define the market segments customer base and industry verticals we can target. Set a strategic business development plan for target markets and ensure its in line with the AWS strategic direction. Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams service teams legal support etc.).

2. Strategic business development - Focus on complex deals and develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key markets.

3. Work with customers and partners building innovative modern applications. Build a strong pipeline of customers who are working in key areas of the market or building new and interesting solutions. Work with these customers to become lighthouse wins of success.

4. Incubate and launch new services or key features. As we launch new services be a part of the core team that works with the initial customers to ensure we have strong references at launch. Drive a plan to ensure sales and partner readiness. Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.

- 5 years of cloud technical or digital business development experience
- Experience with account management (Enterprise SMB and startup) and solution selling
- Experience with cloud migrations

- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at the C level.
- Proven ability to prospect recruit and manage executive level relationships.
- Ability to prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customers.
- Demonstrated ability to champion and drive cross-functionally improvement effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results.
- Experience with SQL queries and Excel for customer data analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
