Job Description
n this highly impactful role you will use your mechanical design engineering skills to bring our Magic products to life. This looks like:Collaborating with industrial designers hardware software product integrity and technology teams to define the vision of a multiple product form factors and developing new product architectures. Defining kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization. Integrating mechanisms sensors and other electromechanical with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for function cosmetics and design meets requirements through the life of the product through stress and tolerance analysis DFMEA prototyping testing and failure analysis.
- 2 yrs experience in a mechanical engineering design role.
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or closely-related major.
- Solid engineering fundamentals: statics strength of materials kinematics and mechanism design and manufacturing.
- Traveling 10-15% of the year internationally to support engineering build activities.
- Great communication skills: written and verbal with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorms.
- Masters degree in mechanical engineering or closely-related major.
- Prior experience in other relevant industries promotes diverse perspectives and approaches to solving problems. Our team culture fosters a constant learning environment where many new and relevant skills can be developed on the job.

At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147400 and $272100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
