Job Description

Physical Therapist (P.T.) Outpatient

Full-time

Work location: Texas Health Burleson 2750 SW Wilshire Bldv. Burleson TX 76028

Physical Therapy Outpatient department

Work hours: Full-time: 40 hours/week Monday-Friday outpatient clinic; Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8AM-6PM and Tuesday/Thursday 7AM-5PM

Physical Therapy department highlights:

Outpatient orthopedic Rehab Services: with opportunity to treat general orthopedic non-operative and post-operative conditionsbalance and conditioning some sports medicine rehab.

Located about 15 miles South of downtown Ft. Worth

Facility dedicated to providing quality health care to residents of the Burleson Joshua and Crowley communities.

Heres What You Need

Bachelors degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.

Outpatient experience is helpful but none required.

  • 1-2 years of Physical Therapy experiencepreferred
  • Physical Therapist withgeneral orthopedic background preferred
  • Ability to perform hands on treatment and provide rehab programs preferred

PT Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required

BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Problem-solving ability Ability to teach others and Time management skills.

Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills

What You Will Do

Texas Health Physical Therapists are responsible for using therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

Performing treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals if necessary determining patient response to treatment and evaluates progress.

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

Educates patient and family through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

  • Motivate non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
