Job Overview
Were looking for a very versatile and handy person to help with a variety of duties. Were calling the role facilities manager but its really a couple of roles baked into one:
This is a full time (W2) in-house role located in our Capitol Hill office. Pay is generally between $50-80K/yr (plus perks paid time off and full benefits) depending on experience. Note that because the job involves running errands around the city you do need to have a vehicle for this job. You will report directly to the CEO since he is very involved in company operations anyway (though you will work directly with many members of our team depending on the task.)

Really the day-to-day tasks can be just about anything. No two days tend to look the same. Again youre not expected to be able to do everything asked of you. What we are looking for is someone who can try to figure out the task if possible and if you decide its not something you can reasonably do on your own then find a service provider who can and manage that person to get the task done. It should also be noted that this can be a physically demanding job and often requires moving heavy stuff around climbing ladders working with power tools etc.
A Bit About Taoti / The 507
Taoti () is a full-service marketing/creative agency of about 50 people. We primarily work in the DC area serving associations corporate clients and the government (both local and fact DC is our largest collective client.) We do things like build websites manage SEO produce TV commercials and radio ads create marketing campaigns etc. We also have an events and live productions division that we call The 507 Productions. This is like a company within a company and generally operates our own venue () as well as manages and produces off-site events for clients like EventsDC. Even though our agency and events business are very different business models there is a lot of overlap since we share the same physical space and client your role you will support both parts of our business: on the agency side youll be more of a facilities manager who helps keep the office space running while on the events side youll be more involved in actual event support.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude. Someone not afraid to dig into new projects even if he/she doesnt have direct experience. Someone who is scrappy and willing to watch a YouTube video to try to figure out something new. Someone who has no ego and is willing to do whatever is needed (even the unglamorous parts of the job like plunging a clogged toilet or fixing a jammed garbage disposal.) Someone who can think several steps ahead and anticipate what is needed to proactively stay ahead of things. Someone who has good energy a positive attitude and enjoys helping others with the little things that make office life better for everyone.
