As an HR Analyst youll support the employee recruitment from processing payroll to timekeeping workers compensation claims reporting new hires and assisting with benefits. Minimum Qualifications

Three years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR

A bachelors degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
As an HR Analyst you will be instrumental in supporting performance appraisals scheduling interviews and training and contributing to salary surveys and this role you will:

  1. Will process and file employee information in personnel and medical files.

  2. Will assist with payroll and timekeeping functions

  3. Will assist with data processing of workers compensation claims employee disciplinary incidents FMLA processing and benefit and retirement processing.



Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotion of a permanent classified employee of Louisiana State Government
  • Current permanent status classified state employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
  • An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
  • This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Human Resources Analyst A B or C
Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of a rate between $1.00 and $2.00 per hour

This position has a Special Entrance Rate at each level

Human Resources Analyst A has an SER of $ 17.43 per hour

Human Resources Analyst B has an SER of $ 18.64 per hour

Human Resources Analyst C has an SER of $ 20.60 per hour
