The Attendance/Nutrition Clerk 2.5 is responsible for maintaining accurate student attendance records monitoring daily absences and providing timely reports to school administration. The Nutrition Clerk supports the district nutrition services by performing clerical and administrative tasks related to meal programs student meal accounts and food service compliance. The role ensures the accuracy of records and assists in promoting efficient operations of the nutrition program for the business ResponsibilitiesNoneEssential FunctionsPublish daily student attendance using the Aspen Management System;Update student attendance in Aspen throughout the school day to report tardiness to school and early dismissals;Monitor number of tardiness to school and submit a digital report of excessive tardiness as required in the Johnston Senior High School Student Handbook to Administration;Greet students who are tardy to school record tardy and write late passes to class;Dismiss students to parents/guardians for early dismissals;Perform any and all duties assigned by the building Principal or Assistant Principals;Input and maintain meal account data in the food service system;Process the free and reduced-price meal applications;Handle payments and account inquiries from students parents and staff;Generate reports related to meal counts account balances and inventory;Monitor compliance with federal and state child nutrition program requirements;Maintain records for audits and reimbursement Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesMinimum of 2 years related work experience; Accurate typing skills; Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new applications;Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED with additional educational/experience credentials including an Associates degree or certification in Secretarial Sciences from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education training and RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a be able to lift up to 10 pounds at be able to access various departments of a given are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental Duties The activities duties or responsibilities contained in this job description is not a comprehensive listing that are required of the employee.
