Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities In this role you will: - Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage advanced economic and causal modeling techniques to drive business insights and decision-making. - Conduct in-depth research and analysis on large complex data sets to understand customer behavior pricing dynamics and the incremental impact of business programs and initiatives. - Design implement and maintain scalable econometric and machine learning solutions to automate and improve key measurement and optimization capabilities. - Effectively communicate analysis insights and recommendations to influence senior leadership business strategy and roadmap prioritization.
About the team The Books Store Experience team is a core team developing the frameworks and technologies used by dozens of partner teams to develop the best shopping experience for our books customers. The books organization is the oldest organization at Amazon serving customers from the very beginning. This team has a wealth of experience in Amazon and is constantly evolving the technologies we use in order to best serve our customers.
- PhD in economics or equivalent
- Experience in industry consulting government or academic research - Experience in analytics and applied economics - Experience in developing and executing an analytic vision to solve business-relevant problems - Experience in building statistical models using R Python STATA or a related software - 5 years of industry consulting government or academic research experience
