You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSeattles Office of Housing (OH) works to build strong healthy communities and increase opportunities for all people to live in a community of their choice in a home they can afford.OHmanages investments in affordable housing and programs to fund the preservation and production of affordable homes in Seattle. We oversee compliance on the homes we invest in to ensure that residents live in safety and care. Weestablishlong-term strategic plans develop and implement policy-based tools and address housing-related aspects of citywide land use and community development planning. We also provide home repair and weatherization programs for lower-income residents.
The purpose of this role is to support OH workgroups that includesCapital Investments Asset ManagementHome Ownership and Weatherizationtoaddress the significant increase in the volume and complexity of administrative work across OH programsincluding special projects and administrative tasks during peak workloads throughout the year. This position will alsoassistin updating and streamlining office-wide systems and processes.
Your top 3 priorities in this role will be:
Provideoffice-wideadministrativesupportbased onworkgroupsneeds and projects.
Support annual contracts/amendments procedures building inspectionsdocument and report preparation annual report data collection Notice of Funding Availability process and annual review preparation andfollow-ups.
Provide general administrativesupport for OHworkgroups.
You will be most successful in this role if youpossessa combination of the following:
Skills in:
Microsoft WordExceland Outlook.
Verbal andwrittencommunication.
Excellent interpersonal skills to allow effective interaction with members of the Department at all levels as well as other City entities.
Using databases
The ability to:
Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic
Work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Multitask and be flexible as well as adapt to changing work priorities.
In addition to the qualities mentioned above you will need topossessthe belowqualifications (or a combination of education training or experience which provides an equivalent backgroundto perform the work of the class):
Two years of clerical support experience
OR
AnAssociate Degree
One year of clerical support experience
This civil-service position is eligible for overtime and is classified as anAdministrative Specialist II-BU.The full pay range for this step-progression position is $35.61 to $39.87per hour. New employees begin at Step 1 of the pay progression which is $35.61hourly.CurrentCity employees starting rate of pay will be based on Personnel Rulesregardingpromotions.
This position offersthe flexibilityof a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to be in-office2-3 days per week. Individual schedules will be based onagreementbetween the employee and their supervisor and are subject to change.
Firstroundinterviews for this position are tentatively scheduled forthe week of August 25 2025. Second round interviews are scheduledfor the week of September 8 2025. We are hoping to have someone start in this role on WednesdayOctober 8 2025.
