About the Role:

The Junior UX/UI Designer will join a Global Design group that contributes to a range of product and strategic initiatives by particpating in every aspect of the design process from discovery and ideation to prototyping testing iterating and product launch.

The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other CITCO locations. The Junior UX/UI Designer will report to the Design Director and interact with business stakeholders and technical groups



Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Delivery of UX/UI activities through prototypes wire-frames user-flows and high-fi designs
  • Create research driven compelling user experiences and bring them to life with exciting visual design
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing specifications
  • Be an analytical thinker and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems
  • Translate business problems and ideas into clear design tasks and communicate these to product/platform owners engineering and end-users
  • Ability to operate in an iterative mode with light documentation when required


Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelors Degree in HCI Design or similar discipline or the equivalent education and experience.
  • 1 years of experience with Figma or similar tools such as Sketch
  • 1 years designing user experiences and creative work for consumer or enterprise web applications
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with multiple teams at a time
  • Experience with mobile and responsive design for enterprise web applications
  • Experience working in financial services industry is highly desirable
  • Experience working with a shared UI component library is desirable
  • Prior relevant experience as a UX Designer or equivalent is required
  • Results-oriented forward thinking strong team player
  • Ability to multi-task prioritize manage multiple activities in an agile environment
  • Portfolio of websites that demonstrate visual design principles translated into working production systems
