Suncorp Graduate Program 2026 Risk Engineer
At Suncorp our Risk Engineers are out in the field helping businesses understand their risks and build safer stronger operations. As part of our two-year Graduate Program youll gain deep technical foundations hands-on consulting experience and personalised mentoring to launch your career as a trusted risk professional.

About the Program
From day one youll make an impact by:
- Visiting diverse client sites from small businesses to large-scale industrial facilities assessing property liability and equipment risks
- Using your technical skills to evaluate our customers operations against national and international standards codes of practice and technical guidelines
- Building trusted relationships with customers providing tailored recommendations that improve safety and reduce claims
- Partnering with underwriters to translate your findings into better business decisions
- Rotating across risk control fee-based risk engineering and underwriting teams for a complete view of risk management
- Developing your technical and consulting expertise through a bespoke training program and guidance from experienced mentors
What were looking for
We want graduates who are curious people-focused and ready to apply their technical knowhow to real-world challenges.
Preferred degrees:
- Engineering (civil infrastructure mechanical electrical chemical or building surveying)
- Physical sciences
Skills we value:
- A problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
- Confidence engaging with new people and environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Genuine interest in helping businesses improve their safety and resilience
- Are open to travel: you may be required to travel as part of the Risk Engineering role (mostly local).
Who can apply
- Full working rights in Australia
- Study completed at an Australian or New Zealand university
- Minimum bachelors degree within the last two years (or 2025 completion) or will complete prior to program commencing
- Minimum pass grade
- Australian drivers licence (some local travel is part of the role).
