Job Description

About the Role:

The Residential YTC Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations and care within a residential facility for children and adolescents. This position ensures that all youth residents receive a safe supportive and therapeutic environment tailored to their individual needs. The supervisor is responsible for managing staff scheduling providing oversight of milieu client and staff needs attending regular management and residential meetings and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. By fostering a collaborative team atmosphere the supervisor promotes positive behavioral outcomes and supports the emotional and physical well-being of the youth. Ultimately this role is essential in delivering high-quality residential care that facilitates rehabilitation and growth for young individuals in a structured setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a residential treatment or youth care setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare or social services environment.
  • Knowledge of youth behavioral health issues and treatment modalities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards applicable to residential care.
  • Training in crisis intervention trauma-informed care or de-escalation techniques.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and case management software.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support residential staff to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and daily routines.
  • Monitor the safety and well-being of youth residents intervening as necessary to address behavioral or health concerns.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals social workers and families to develop and update individualized care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations licensing requirements and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to resident progress incidents and staff performance.
  • Provide training guidance and performance evaluations for residential staff members.
  • Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary teams to promote cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Manage scheduling resource allocation and operational logistics within the residential facility.

The Residential YTC Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to guide and motivate staff while ensuring clear and effective interactions with youth residents and their families.
