Job Description
Job Title: Hospitality Office Associate
Department: Food & Nutrition
Location: Unity Hospital - 1555 Long Pond Rd Rochester NY 14626
Schedule:Schedules available are6:30 AM to 2:30 PM with rotating weekends or 4:00 PM to 7:45 PM
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient/resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a liaison between Food and Nutrition Services and other departments ensuring accurate communication regarding patient meals diets and nutritional needs.
- Delivers meals and nourishments in accordance with patient identification protocols and supports all aspects of meal service operations.
- Applies knowledge of dietary guidelines including fluid restrictions tube feedings and special diet standards to ensure accurate meal preparation and service.
- Accurately transfers patient dietary informationincluding allergies and diet ordersinto menu software to generate appropriate meal selections and reports.
- Communicates effectively with patients families and clinical staff to address dietary concerns and uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Maintains clean safe and organized work areas records refrigeration temperatures answers calls manages supplies and ensures compliance with facility protocols.
- Attends all required meetings and in-service trainings supports software backup procedures and performs additional department duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations including continuing education requirements.

$16.25 - $17.00CITY:

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
