Perform necessary research on various ETM edits. Verify demographics and financial information resolving any discrepancies that will prevent or delay timely billing. Collaborate with registration and scheduling departments. Provide feedback to clinic operations. Performs electronic billing functions and demonstrates detailed knowledge of insurance billing guidelines and regulations for third party payers. Responsible for analyzing designing and developing specifications for enhancements and extensions to electronic data interchange application interfaces and maps. Tests implements and maintains EDI transactions. Provides technical expertise and support for EDI communication. Demonstrates knowledge of HCFA 1500 billing and filing requirements and exhibits an understanding of electronic claims editing and submission capabilities.

Required:
One (1) year experience in electronic billing processes and proficiency with electronic data applications. Four (4) years physician billing/collection experience or other related healthcare provider claims experience in a high volume medical healthcare claim environment. (Includes health plan physician claims/ reimbursement/appeals experience). AHCCCS/ Medicare/government Commercial payer experience. HCFA 1500 billing experience.
