Job Description
- The scientist will conduct analytical experiments to support structural characterization and identification of biological macromolecules using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Protein Open-Access LC/MS platform and collaborating on mass spectrometry-based protein characterization efforts and biological assay development.
- The selected candidate should have familiarity with liquid chromatography mass spectrometry instrumentation and excellent sample preparation skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory automation is desired but not required.
- The scientist will be expected to consistently work on multiple projects in parallel and be able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- In addition this individual must be highly self-motivated able to work independently in their area of expertise able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams must be an outstanding team player and possess excellent communication skills.
- B.S or M.S. in chemistry biochemistry biology or other physical sciences.
- Familiarity with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation.
- Mass spectrometry data interpretation.
- Familiarity with protein structure.
