Job Description
Required Skills and Qualifications:
PhD /Master in Polymer Technology/Science preferably with a focus on chemical/coating technology or a related field.
Experience in research and development ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of various coating/ paint manufacturing processes and application research supporting the Sales and Marketing team and customers.
Responsibilities
Overseeing Research & Development: Developing new coating formulations executing technologies and innovating to meet industry standards and regulations. Supporting the
manufacturing process ensuring quality control and optimizing production efficiency.
Product Testing and Quality Assurance: Conducting performance testing to ensure that coatings meet performance specifications including rust prevention fire resistance smart coatings. Experience in Quality Management Systems and Safety standards will be added advantage.
Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams including engineers chemists and production staff to coordinate efforts and achieve company objectives.
Leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead teams and drive projects to successful completion.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills particularly in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and optimizing processes.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal for collaborating with internal teams and external partners and interface with customers strategic planning for business innovations.
Additional Preferences
Prior experience in a similar role within the coatings or Paint manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of specific coating applications beyond rust prevention and fire resistance depending on the companys focus areas .
