Join us as an R&D Food Safety Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht starting in March 2026. In this internship you will support the global standardization and digitalization of our HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) program across the JDE facility network. This project aims to harmonize HACCP process and leverage digital tools to enhance compliance and efficiency. You will work closely with central and factory quality teams to assess current HACCP practices identify gaps and contribute to the development of a globally aligned and digitally enabled HACCP framework.
Your key activities will be:
- Conduct a literature review on HACCP best practices with a focus on biological physical and chemical hazard controls.
- Support the development of standardized HACCP templates decision trees and risk assessment tools.
- Contribute to the digitalization strategy by evaluating digital platforms and tools for HACCP documentation monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company requirements and certification standards.
- Support the creation of training materials and SOPs to facilitate global rollout and adoption of the standardized digital HACCP program.

Heres what were looking for:
- Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship preferably in Food Technology/Science/Quality/Food Safety/Toxicology or related subjects.
- Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
- Personal traits: You have a structured approach a driven and energetic personality excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship preferably from March 1st until the end of August 2026.
- Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week including three days in-office and one or two days remotely ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence
