Description


Our crisis response team is accepting applicants for Crisis Operations & Compliance Coordinator. Using your experience intervening in mental health crises dispatching and auditing and organizing you will ensure smooth operations of the Hotline & Mobile Crisis Units across Agency crisis hubs and for ensuring Crisis Unit compliance according to regulatory standards. You will accomplish this by:

Operations

  • Overseeing the operations and communication among all Agency crisis hubs to ensure smooth consistent delivery of mental health crisis services;
  • Assessing real-time needs and coordinate the deployment of mobile crisis teams to other hubs when additional support or staffing is required;
  • Implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to continuously improve the mobile crisis teams effectiveness and participant care outcomes;
  • Coordinating with law enforcement emergency services hospitals and other community partners in collaboration with the Mobile Crisis Unit Manager to ensure seamless crisis response and referral pathways;

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensuring all assigned programs operate in accordance with CSP principles;
  • Conducting regular audits of documentation in conjunction with the Mobile Crisis Unit Manager ensuring accuracy compliance and completeness according to regulatory standards;
  • Assist preparing the Mobile Crisis Unit for licensing reviews and inspections by ensuring all protocols procedures and documentation comply with regulatory standards; and
  • Tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to response times service delivery and participant outcomes.

Westmoreland Community Action is a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing counseling support education intervention collaborations partnerships information referrals and networking.

Mental health crisis services are provided 24 hours per day 7 days per week in an effort to provide support resources and crisis intervention to individuals and families experiencing a crisis or know someone who is. Calls are answered by a trained crisis worker who will identify the crisis and assist with support offer resources about community services and treatment providers. The Mobile Crisis Team provides face-to-face intervention assisting those in crisis during a variety of situations addressing such issues as suicidal and homicidal ideation concern for friend or family members and behavioral health concerns. Mobile Crisis services are available to adults children and adolescents in Westmoreland County who require face-to-face intervention in the community.


Annual salary based on years of experience: $53830.40 to $60236.80 ($25.88 - $28.96 per hour).

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with major course work in either sociology social work psychology gerontology criminal justice theology (with emphasis in pastoral counseling) nursing counseling education or a related field or at least 12 college credits in any if the above disciplines.
  • Five (5) years previous casework experience with the demonstrated ability to oversee management of Crisis Programs or similar experience in another work setting.
  • Direct experience in crisis intervention with the ability to assess crisis situations respond by providing appropriate counseling assist in resolving crisis situations and arranging for efficient referral and follow-up services.
  • Knowledge of counseling skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work various shifts.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with Microsoft Word and Access programs helpful.
  • Must possess a valid PA drivers license $15000/$30000 bodily liability auto insurance and a reasonably clean driving record.
  • Must be able to provide or successfully obtain child abuse state police fingerprint-based criminal background and sex offender registry clearances.

REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO SAFELY PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION OF CRISIS OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR:

Physical requirements - Push/pull lift/move up to 25 pounds.

Manual dexterity - Perform moderately difficult manipulation - typing filing and writing.

Coordination - Perform tasks which require foot and/or hand/eye coordination - driving a car typing data entry.

Mobility - Walk stand sit for prolonged periods of time drive.

Speech - Articulate with extreme accuracy - employee/participant relations phone contact.

Vision - Read small print drive a car.

Hearing - Receive verbal instructions answer phones intercom communicate with staff/participants.

Concentration - Able to concentrate on fine detail with some interruption.

Attention span - Able to attend to task function for more that 60 minutes.

Conceptualization - Able to understand and relate to theories behind several related concepts.

Memory - Able to remember multiple verbal and written task assignments given at beginning of a period extending over long period of time.

Environment Conditions - Indoor/outdoor work.
