The Waterpark Facilities/Maintenance Manager plans organizes and directs a large-scale building maintenance program including plumbing carpentry electrical components and systems painting HVAC systems and small engines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following other duties may be assigned)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises 3-5 employees in the Maintenance department. Is responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Masters degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet and Word Processing softwares.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain and maintain a Vermont Department of Agriculture Chemical Applicator License as well as any other required Vermont county or city permits or licenses as required.

While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid (non-weather) conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
