TheRole:
We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work alongside our CTO Head of Music and team of Engineers to contribute to existing music creation tools and new features for our web app music remix tool. Our small team brings together cutting edge research on music tooling speech synthesis and generative modeling to create powerful tools for young creators and music enthusiasts. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and help create new and innovative ways for users to create music.
Responsibilities:
- Architectbuildandscalefull-stackapplicationsensuringseamlessintegrationbetweenfrontendbackendandcloudservices.
- LeadAWSbestpracticeswithintheteamhelpingimproveinfrastructuresecurityandscalabilitywhilementoringothersonAWScapabilities.
- Designanddevelopcloud-nativearchitecturesusingAWSservices(EC2S3LambdaRDSAPIGatewayetc.)ensuringhighavailabilityperformanceandsecurity.
- Leverage AWS tooling (CloudFormation Terraform CDK AWS CodePipeline CloudWatch etc.) to automate infrastructure management deployment and monitoring.
- Workcloselywithoursmallteamofengineerstoensuresmoothcommunicationbetweenbackendservicesandclient-facingapplicationstakingonfront-endticketswhereapplicable.
- SupportandenhanceML-drivenapplicationsdeployingandmanagingMLmodelsinproductionusingAWSservicessuchasSageMakerBedrockorotherML-relatedtooling.
- ImplementDevOpspracticesoptimizingCI/CDpipelinesmonitoringanddeploymentautomationforasmoothdevelopmentlifecycle.
- EnhancesecurityandcomplianceensuringbestpracticesinaccesscontrolencryptionanddataprotectionacrossAWSservices.
- Optimizeapplicationperformancedebuggingrefactoringandimprovingsystemefficiencyatboththeapplicationandinfrastructurelevels.
- Fosteracultureoflearningandknowledge-sharingguidingteammatesonAWStoolsservicesandarchitecturedecisions.
- Activelyparticipateincodereviewsprovidingguidanceoncodequalitymaintainabilityandbestpractices.
About you:
- 5yearsofexperienceasaFullStackEngineerwithexpertiseinbothbackendandfrontenddevelopment.
- Expert in AWS cloud services and tooling including EC2 S3 Lambda RDS API Gateway CloudFormation Terraform AWS CDK and AWS monitoring tools. With the ability to share knowledge and set best practice within our team.
- Strongexperiencewithmicroservicesarchitecturesdesigningscalablemaintainableandsecureapplications.
- SkilledinPythonJavaScriptorsimilarlanguageswithasolidunderstandingofmodernframeworksandtools.
- ExperiencewithfrontendtechnologiessuchasReactTypeScriptorsimilarwiththeabilityandwillingnesstocontributewhenneeded.
- ExperiencedeployingandmaintainingML-poweredapplicationswithexposuretoAWSMLserviceslikeSageMakerBedrockorintegratingMLmodelsintocloudarchitectures.
- Experience with DevOps and automation including CI/CD pipelines infrastructure as code (Terraform CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- ApassionformentoringandknowledgesharinghelpingtheteamleveluptheirAWSandMLexpertise.
- InterestinMLandAI-drivenapplicationswithacuriosityforhowofftheshelfMLmodelscanbetailoreddeployedandintegratedintoscalablesystems.
- Comfortableworkinginfast-pacedenvironmentswithaniterativemindsetandawillingnesstoadapttochangingrequirements.
- Deepunderstandingofsoftwareengineeringbestpracticesincludingperformanceoptimizationsecurityandtestingstrategies.
- Excellentcommunicationskillsabletoexplaintechnicalconceptstobothtechnicalandnon-technicalaudiences.
- Aself-drivenproactivemindsetcomfortableworkingindistributedteamswithastrongsenseofownership.

- If you are based in Brisbane thats fantastic but we have several remote team members across Australia and internationally. For this position we strongly prefer Aussie East Coast timezone
