Summary
The Installation Contracts Specialist supports the acquisition of installation labor by applying construction contracting principles processes and practices. This role provides essential support services to ensure timely and efficient contract execution. The Installation Contracts Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Installation Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct research and develop strategies to guide labor acquisition considering labor availability and quality; create supporting planning documents.
- Collaborate with the Installation Manager to conduct market research and review vendor prequalification statements; analyze and report findings.
- Negotiate establish and manage contractual agreements and procurement proposals for installation labor services.
- Evaluate client (GC) contract agreements to determine the need for amendments or extensions to ensure alignment with company obligations and regulations.
- Review and recommend actions on internal or vendor requests for deviations from contract terms and specifications.
- Work with project managers to define contract-specific scopes of work and develop accurate labor cost budgets.
- Prepare and manage the bid solicitation process for subcontracted labor including:
- Setting bid timelines and deadlines
- Managing and documenting vendor inquiries
- Issuing bid revisions and updates
- Communicating pass-through obligations
- Analyze pricing scope proposals and vendor qualifications to assess competitiveness and recommend selections to project managers.
- Communicate contract awards and final deal terms to vendors and internal stakeholders; maintain accurate historical records of labor acquisition activities.
- Interpret contract language architectural/shop drawings construction methods and schedules to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Provide guidance on contract compliance and assist in resolving disputes claims or performance issues as they arise.
- Support the development and improvement of internal policies procedures and strategies related to installation contracting.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skill
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings specifications and contract documents.
- Excellent negotiation communication and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook); experience with project management or ERP software a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and contractual compliance in construction settings.

Education & Experience
- 2-5 years experience in a fast-paced work environment preferably construction or manufacturing
- Preferred: Bachelors degree
