Our goal is to be the first choice for families seeking an educational experience where every student is challenged supported and inspired to own their journey to mastery and independence in a community where they are truly known and valued.Position Summary:Reporting to the Director of Athletics Bancroft School seeks a dedicated and experienced JV Volleyball Coach to lead its junior varsity high school program. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who builds a strong inclusive team culture and supports each student-athletes growthacademically athletically and personally. The team practices Monday-Friday from 3:45-5:30pm. Game-day schedules vary. The stipend for the position is competitive. The start date for this position is August 18 2025.Duties and Responsibilities:Player & Team Development
- Plan and lead effective practices focused on skill development strategic team play conditioning and student-athletes at all levels of experience and skillPrioritize athlete wellness and work collaboratively with the Schools athletic trainer Dean of Students and school counselors.
- Prepare the team for competition through thoughtful game planning and student-athletes on the team at all times and coordinate with athletic training all home and away JV volleyball matches ride the school provided transportation and travel with the JV team to away matches submit required score reports rosters forms and other information to the appropriate administrators
- Communicate effectively with players parents staff and administration.
- Prior coaching experience at the high school club or collegiate level (coaching experience preferred).Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals strategy and team to serve as a positive role model and mentor to high school organizational communication and interpersonal CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain).Must pass School background checks
