Job Description

Role Summary:

Velsipity (etrasimod) a priority brand for Pfizer is a novel S1P receptor modulator that received FDA approval in October 2023 and EMA approval in February 2024 for the treatment of moderate-to-severe Ulcerative Colitis. The marketing director will orchestrate and develop marketing strategies to support growth and acceleration of the brand across its top critical launch markets. This role will be working with stakeholders across the markets (internally and externally) to identify critical growth opportunities for the brand that can then be localized for winnable growth opportunities (near and mid term)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify design and localize brand strategy for VELSIPITY success in key priority markets

  • Align efforts to the critical insights and strategic imperatives for the brand

  • Design an array of promotionally meaningful approaches for communicating with customers across relevant channels

  • Evaluate partners channels and technology that will drive brand uptake at launch

  • Forecast and predict marketplace shifts changes and events to identify best ways to protect and grow the brand

Qualification:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in US or global pharmaceutical marketing

  • I&I Marketing experience and Gastroenterology knowledge will be valuable

  • Strong marketing analytical and strategic skills including ability to identify and prioritize strategic challenges and balance short term needs with long-term vision; can manage through ambiguity

  • Proven ability to proactively lead the thinking - connect communicate influence and persuade others

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including with internal and external senior leaders

  • Experience collaborating with influencing and leading cross functional and GLocal teams

  • Achieves results through others across functions geographies and a variety of personality styles

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel up to 25%
  • Collaboration with IDM Markets that may require International Meetings
  • US and International Congress Travel

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156600.00 to $261000.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
