Warehouse Associate IWhat does a great Warehouse Associate I do
This position is responsible for ensuring: (1) The proper storage and staging of materials for Production; (2) Preparing and delivering mill rolls to Print; (3) Operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks forklifts etc.); and (4) Loading/unloading trucks.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Store and stage materials according to company processes and specifications.
Operate scanners to stage materials to job locations.
Ensure proper material labeling procedures are being followed.
Ensure all transactions are processed in AS400 and other requirements on time and accurate.
Ability to use equipment (forklift stacker and electric hand jack) properly.
Communicate current plan of action with other shift stagers.
Must always be mindful of surroundings and in particular when working on shipping docks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects and processes
Required Competencies Knowledge Skills & Abilities
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Proven ability to read write and communicate in the English language
Use of basic math skills
Must be able to work independently
Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and safely lift to 50 lbs without assistance including overhead lift
Must be able to reach above shoulders climb squat kneel and bend often
Must be able to push mill rolls up to 1000 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk an entire shift (8 hours) or approximately 15000 steps in one shift
