Job Description

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is excited to announce a full-time opening for a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to serve students across grade levels for theacademic year. This in-person position offers the opportunity to transform learning experiences for students with visual impairments helping them access the curriculum develop independence and thrive academically and socially.

As a TVI you ll provide individualized instruction in Braille assistive technology and if certified orientation and mobility. Your responsibilities will include conducting Functional Vision and Learning Media Assessments adapting curriculum materials for accessibility and monitoring student progress to ensure their goals are met. Collaboration will be key as you work alongside general education teachers related service providers and families to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.

In this role you ll also design and implement IEPs that address each student s unique visual and educational needs maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines and create structured encouraging spaces where students can grow in confidence and independence.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor s degree in Visual Impairments or Special Education with a master s degree preferred. A strong understanding of Braille assistive technology and strategies for delivering accessible instruction is essential. Applicants must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Visual Impairments. Experience working with students who have a range of visual needs including those with additional disabilities is highly valued.
