Job Description
QTEC Aerospace is seeking a REQUIREMENTS VERIFICATION ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
- System concept development
- System and software requirements engineering
- Requirement verification planning and execution
- Technical planning system integration verification and validation
- Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures reviewing the content and details of technical products
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Math Science Engineering or Software Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience working on Missile Defense development programs
- Experience with systems engineering concepts throughout the acquisition life cycle
- Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles
- Should have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
- Experience in decomposing requirements from parent-level requirements to lower system/subsystem-level requirements
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. Interface Control Documents Use Cases Briefings Sequence Diagrams etc.)
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems software and specialty engineers to develop solutions
- Ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Experience with the application and use of DOORS for requirements management and object-oriented requirements definition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
