Job Description

Hospice Compliance Officer

Salary: $90k/yr BOE

Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Location: Dayton Ohio and surrounding areas

Requirements of the Compliance Officer role:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse

  • Bachelors Degree (BSN) Masters preferred

  • Valid drivers License and Auto insurance Coverage

  • Reliable transportation

  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance accreditation or quality management including leadership responsibilities

  • Leadership experience

  • Knowledge of business management governmental regulations and CHAP standards

About the Compliance Officer role:

  • Ensures the organization especially in the healthcare industry adheres to legal regulatory and accreditation requirements including the CHAP standard.

  • Developing and implementing a compliance program. This involved creating and maintaining policies procedures and standards of conduct.

  • Conducting regular audits to identify potential compliance issues and risks.

  • Educating employees and providing training and resources to staff on compliance requirements and ethical conduct.

  • Investigating any reported compliance issues and implementing corrective actions.

  • Keeping up to date with changes in regulations policies and accreditation standards.

  • The ability to identify and analyze compliance issues and develop solutions.

  • Effective communication and collaboration are essential for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • The ability to adapt to changing regulations and remain informed about new developments.

  • Experience preparing organizations for CHAP accreditation surveys.

  • Ability to conduct internal audits and assessments related to CHAP standards.

  • Knowledge of data collection and documentation requirements for CHAP accreditation.
