Position Summary...
What youll do...
As a Software Engineer III International Site Reliability Engineering at Walmart Global Tech youll play a pivotal role in designing and building robust backend systems that power seamless digital experiences for millions of customers. You will work across multiple domains contributing to the development of scalable services that are critical to Walmarts digital platforms.
About Team:
Focusing on customer associate and business needs this team works with Walmart International which includes more than 5200 retail units operating in 23 countries such as Canada Central America Chile Mexico and South Africa to name a few.
What Youll Do:
- Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Docker Kubernetes and Helm.
- Monitor system performance and health using Prometheus Grafana Splunk OpenTelemetry and Dynatrace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Perform Cause of Error discussion and track corrective measures to closure
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and continuous integration.
- Manage databases and queues including MySQL Redis Cassandra Kafka Azure SQL Meghacache and Solr.
- Understand and apply Golden Signals Service Level Objectives (SLOs) Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) in monitoring and incident management.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident triaging to ensure timely resolution of issues.
What youll bring:
- Strong experience with Linux and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes Helm).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins Git).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (GCP & Azure).
- Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus Grafana Splunk OpenTelemetry Dynatrace).
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform Ansible Chef).
- Knowledge of networking and security principles (DNS load balancers firewalls HashiCorp Vault/Akeyless).
- Experience with databases and messaging queues (MySQL Redis Cassandra Kafka ActiveMQ Azure SQL DB Meghacache Solr).
- Strong incident management and triaging skills.
- Understanding of Golden Signals SLOs SLAs and SLIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
