Job Description

With minimal supervision assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. (Heavy Equipment Rail Car movers)- Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures.
- Required to initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality reduce cycle times and /or to correct nonconformities.
- Provides training to other employees on assembly and inspection and test procedures.
- Performs troubleshooting and repair of systems and components as required. (hydraulic and electrical knowledge will get you ahead)
- Maintains accurate records as required.
- Maintains all aspects of workplace organization.
- Ensures Compliance in all safety health and environmental regulations policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
- Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Company policies to eliminate and or reduce exposure to liability.
- Special projects or work as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Required to operate forklifts.
- May be required to perform welding.
- May aid other departments as needed.
- Will be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams monthly Team Meetings and Team quality improvement exercises
- Required to identify quality constraints for improvements and submit in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program.
- Will be required to assist and train other team members on proper assembly inspection and test and troubleshooting techniques.
