Job Description

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant.

Ever-changing and growing the Center for the Performing Arts stands as one of Pennsylvanias major cultural resources and continues to be a nationally recognized presenter of artisticworks.

The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role at the Center by completing this positions responsibilities which include but are not limited to:

MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Associate Degree 4 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Work Arrangement and Scheduling Expectations:

This position primarily requires on-site presence as it serves as a key role in representing the office during the Directors travel and engagements. While hybrid work is not standard limited flexibility may be arranged in advance particularly during the summer (June to mid-August).

Evening and weekend hours are required averaging 12 weekday evenings per week and 12 weekend events per month during the academic year. Summer schedules are generally lighter but remain flexible.

Qualifications:

Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Adobe Creative Cloud is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent capacity for building community conscientious attention to detail and projectand time management abilities to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This position will report to the Director of the Center for Performing Arts.

The Center for the Performing Arts is part of the College of Arts and Architecture. Ever-changing and growing the Center for the Performing Arts stands as one of Pennsylvanias major cultural resources and continues to be a nationally recognized presenter of artisticworks.

The College of Arts and Architecture is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position including all possible grades is $42100.00 - $61000.00.
