**THIS IS AN ON CALL/ AS NEEDED/PRN OPPORTUNITY**
Provides audiology care and services to patients performing hearing evaluations and interpreting diagnostic testing
Essential Functions:- Provides evidence-based diagnostic evaluations to patients with varied medical complexity to determine type and degree of hearing sensitivity.
- Recommends appropriate follow-up care including personal equipment technology and makes appropriate referrals to ensure a comprehensive care plan.
- Educates parents and caregivers on the impact of hearing loss and importance of compliance with recommendations.
- Performs the administrative functions of individual caseload including scheduling entering daily charges and submitting timely documentation. Ensures accuracy and compliance of documentation.
- Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development.
- Conducts audiology educational programs and supervision for hospital staff students licensed audiologists audiology aides and unlicensed personnel.
Education Requirement:Doctorate of Audiology or equivalent education and experience required.
Licensure Requirement:Valid Ohio License in Audiology required.
Certifications:- Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or American Board of Audiology certification from the American Academy of Audiology preferred.
- CPR certification required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.
