Job DescriptionAs the Senior Manager Talent Systems Advocacy you will lead the charge in transforming hiring practices by advocating for skills-based hiring and alternative pathways. Youll develop and implement strategic advocacy objectives influencing decision-makers and shaping policies to create equitable opportunities. Your day-to-day will involve engaging with stakeholders crafting compelling narratives and driving systemic change. This role offers the chance to be a catalyst for social impact and build a more inclusive workforce.
This role is remote eligible which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
What youll do- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to promote skills-based hiring.
- Influence policymakers and decision-makers to adopt equitable hiring practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and advocacy partners.
- Conduct research and analyze data to support advocacy efforts.
- Create compelling narratives and communication materials to advance advocacy goals.
Basic qualifications- 6years experience in advocacy or policy analysis & development especially with a systems change focus
- 6years research and data interpretation
- 6years demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers
- 6years experience stakeholder mapping and engagement
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred qualifications- Knowledge of talent systems and hiring practices
- Experience in legislative advocacy or government relations
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic advocacy campaigns
