This is the recognised standard for pre-employment screening of individuals with access to government information. Description of role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Engineer or Senior Engineer to join the Numerical Modelling and Optimisation team here at TWI. You will solve challenging engineering issues by using techniques such as finite element analysis computational fluid dynamics and writing computer codes in programming languages such as Python Fortran and MATLAB.

Why join the Numerical Modelling and Optimisation team
The team supports a diverse range of industrial clients with the challenges they face and complements the work of many of the other teams at TWI by using finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics to simulate a wide variety of processes and situations in areas such as structural integrity assessment welding engineering and advanced materials. The team has a global client base spanning a broad range of industrial sectors including aerospace power generation oil and gas hydrogen transport and defence.
From day one you will contribute to solving real-world engineering problems for our clients and will rapidly gain experience in a broad range of modelling disciplines by joining a well-established team with over 130 years of combined experience in simulation. Various software and programming tools are employed predominantly Abaqus COMSOL Python Fortran and MATLAB.
