Who were looking for
Toyotas Environmental and Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Project Engineer.

This roles primary responsibility is managing construction projects (expansions renovations greenfield etc.) at North American production plants.

Reporting to the Manager Facilities Projects 3 the person in this role will support the Environmental and Facilities departments objective to provide project management construction and building design. This is to ensure projects are designed and built to quality cost schedule and safety KPIs for North American manufacturing.

What youll be doing

  • Develop criteria (mechanical electrical fire protection civil/structural etc.) for the design of buildings.

  • Provide technical support to North American Manufacturing plants in building design and construction including the development and maintenance of building-related standards.

  • Act as subject matter expert for industrial buildings and building related systems as technical support for local facility groups at each site and for submittals during project management.

  • Provide experience in plant planning project management construction and building design to ensure projects are designed and built to quality cost schedule and safety KPIs.

  • Mentor engineers construction coordinators and other project personnel to increase their skillset in industrial construction.

  • Create customer satisfaction with proper communication and consensus with the customer to support their needs.

What you bring

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering

  • Experience in building design and construction including industrial buildings and building related systems

  • Experience with industrial mechanical and/or power systems such as piping chilled water compressed air switchgear power distribution systems structural steel or similar

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel up to 75% during peak times both domestic and international

Added bonus if you have

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering in Electrical Mechanical Civil or Chemical

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)

  • Experience in project management of industrial construction projects with a value of $20M

  • AutoCAD experience including the ability to read interpret and modify drawings

  • OSHA certified (10 and/or 30)
