Job Description

Immediate Opening for a Warehouse Associate role in Vandalia Ohio

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
  • Effectively use systems and process applicable to the warehouse operation
  • Prepare and complete orders for receipt delivery or pickup according to schedule
  • Maintain quality service by accurately and diligently following set processes and company standards
  • Working with team members to clarity processes were necessary
  • Work individually or within small groups as required
  • Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations
  • Ensure the proper hand off is given to the following shift
  • Comply with departmental SLAs explain variances where appropriate
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required
  • Working at or above established productivity standards
  • Ensures warehouse goals are met
  • Maintains a high level of health and safety standards

RECEIVING DEPARTMENT
  • Unloads trailers of inbound cases received using fluid unload equipment
  • Apply case labels to inbound cases
  • Manually unload and process non-conveyable inbound cases and pallets
  • Scan non-conveyable inbound cases using RF gun
  • Remove all empty pallets and other waste from trailer and stage at appropriate location
  • Perform duties while exercising proper lifting and material handling techniques

PICKING DEPARTMENT
  • Manages pick ticket orders
  • Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number size color quantity and quality requirements
  • Ensures that orders are accurate and stages items correctly for delivery
  • Operates scanners so that the proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately
  • Monitors stock processes specific orders
  • Learn WM functions pertaining to Active Pick/Pack

SHIPPING DEPARTMENT
  • Shrink wrap products to pallets
  • Loads delivery vehicles as instructed
  • Packs warehouse orders as necessary
  • Ships product per instructions and established processes

RESERVE / REPLENISHMENT DEPARTMENT
  • Puts reserved product away in the correct spot
  • Take product away to specified warehouse locations as assigned by the WMS system
  • Take product and combine it will another group at a location where appropriate
  • WMS will assign tasks (move box to active area)
  • Take stock from Reserve and replenish / bring forward to the Active area
  • Discard cardboard

Warehouse Associate Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment remain flexible to change and willing to move around to other areas
  • Ability to follow instructions pay attention to detail work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience working in a fast paced and attention to detail environment
  • Can demonstrate knowledge in functional department
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to ask questions to gain a clear understanding of instructions and processes
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work through problems in a team-centered environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules Standard operating procedures and operating instructions
  • Ability to work safely around mechanical equipment
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours a day ability to squat kneel twist and bend
  • Flexibility to be cross-trained in different departments
  • Strong attendance record work ethic and safety record
  • Flexibility for overtime opportunities

Overnight Shift:
Monday Thursday: 6:00pm to 4:30am
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.
*Must be able to start ASAP and pass a drug and background screening*
