What Youll Do
As our Director of Finance youll be the financial backbone of multiple benefit funds reporting directly to the Executive Director. Your expertise will ensure the financial health and compliance of programs serving thousands of members and their families.
Core Responsibilities
Compliance Excellence: Ensure adherence to GAAP GASB IRC ERISA and other regulatory requirements
Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors for year-end processes and compliance reporting
System Management: Maintain and enhance accounting systems to support organizational needs
Tax & Reporting: Coordinate all tax filings 1099s PBGC forms and government reporting
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of high-level accounting experience (benefit fund or non-profit preferred); will consider a mix of education and experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software MS Office Suite and financial reporting
Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial practices tax regulations and governmental reporting
Preferred Qualifications
CPA Designation
Taft-Hartley Industry experience
Familiarity with union benefit administration
