TheCityofMinotisacceptingapplicationsforthepositionof Public Works Lab Techinthe Public Works Sewer Department with an application deadline of Thursday August 14th 2025. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants.
All applicants will be required to write the civil service exam for this position. The exam will take place on Thursday August 21st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Minot Municipal Auditorium Room 201. A Photo ID will be required for the exam.

Thisisresponsibletechnicalworkperformingavarietyoflaboratorytestsonwatersludgeandother maybeexpectedtogiveguidanceandassistancetolessexperiencedemployeesorseasonalworkers.Please see attached job description for complete details.
EducationExperienceOther Requirements
- Graduation from high school and three years of experience in conducting laboratory tests or closely related work;or anyequivalentcombination of training and experience.
- PossessionofavalidstateclassIIIwater/wastewatertreatmentoperatorscertificate.
- Possession of a valid North Dakota commercial drivers license and proper endorsements.
Compensationand Benets
- Theassignedsalaryrangefor the position ofPublic Works Lab Tech underthe2025CityofMinotAnnualPayPlanisaGrade 55 which is $23.71 per hour- $35.20 per hour or $49321- $73217 annually.
- ThisisafulltimeFLSANon-Exemptposition eligibleforovertime.
