Job Description

Invoicing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Invoicing Specialist to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate timely and compliant billing to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and other contracted partners. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can navigate large data sets identify trends and contribute to efficient and accurate invoicing processes that support the companys mission to improve patient outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retrieve and interpret census data for invoicing purposes.
  • Prepare and submit invoices for diagnostic services to SNFs and other clients in accordance with contract terms.
  • Extract and analyze raw data from the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Prepare and upload CSV files and standard driver sheets into LIMS and revenue cycle management (RCM) software.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and SNF contacts (including administrators admissions teams and finance staff) to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close processes including invoice reconciliation and AR reporting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve invoicing workflows accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage a shared billing email inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in healthcare invoicing preferably with SNFs or similar healthcare facilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including data manipulation and reporting functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and general office software.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard mouse and standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment.
  • Requires sustained concentration attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Occasional lifting of files or boxes up to 15 pounds may be required.
