Job Description

Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Midwifery to join our team.

Location: Trowbridge Wiltshire

Salary: 28168 - 39244 per annum pro rata (Academic Grade 4 13) (Dependant on skills qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover until 28/02/26

Part Time 22.5 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Close Date: 13th August 2025

Lecturer in Midwifery Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality engaging teaching to students across a variety of courses.
  • Inspire and motivate learners through innovative practical learning experiences.

  • Collaborate with a passionate team to develop curriculum and embed best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and ensure teaching reflects the latest standards and regulations.

Lecturer in Midwifery You:

Were looking for:

  • A qualified midwife with up-to-date registration (NMC)
  • Strong knowledge of current clinical practices and maternity care standards
  • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication organisation and mentoring skills
  • A passion for education and nurturing student development
