Job Description

Inventory Specialist

Job Summary: Our mission as a Kitchen Bakery and Company is to positively impact people in our community both those we work alongside and those who visit our shops. We believe in building this community from the inside out - with respect collaboration care and empowerment. Doughnuts are simply the delicious means by which we do so. We hope to find an Inventory Specialist who shares our vision and passion for pastries. This individual is invested in their work has the desire to learn ability to operate well cross-functionally and incorporates a flexible mindset.

Additionally the Inventory Specialist will manage and oversee the purchasing tracking and receipt of the majority of goods. This individual works well independently and with others. They can also communicate effectively with third-party vendors peers leadership and others outside the organization both verbally and in writing. Applicants need to have strong organizational skills with the capacity to think and plan in a spatially creative manner. And the Inventory Specialist must be comfortable using and maintaining multiple cloud based systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage inventory system (i.e. Peachworks).
  • Effectively oversee pars for Kitchen and all storefront locations.
  • Count Kitchen product three times a week.
  • Report inventory and associated cost at EOM for Kitchen and all storefront locations.
  • Input and track incoming invoices.
  • Work with third-party vendors.
  • Purchase food/ingredients merchandise and paper goods as needed.
  • Source appropriate ingredients that fit FDB standards efficiently and economically.
  • Work to achieve best pricing possible.
  • Resolve shortages and delivery errors.
  • Collaborates with Creative Director to source new ingredients for new items.
  • Coordinates with kitchen team for additional needs/outages/source issues.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
  • Create effective communication for flavor changeover with Kitchen and storefronts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferred technical skills include the ability to efficiently navigate and manage spreadsheets and company systems
  • Preferred (but not necessary) basic knowledge of food and preparation techniques.
  • Preferred (but not necessary) basic knowledge of and adherence to health code practices.
  • Must be flexible and able to work within a team.
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend squat use a ladder and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be able to have fun in a fast paced environment!
  • MUST BE 18 or older to apply.

Details:

  • Time: Shifts can range from early mornings to mid afternoons.
  • Compensation: Base wage of $20.00 - $25.00 plus tip share of $5.00-$7.00 that varies.
